After a lightning strike split a blade in half while the turbine was still in operation, our team was called to perform a complex and urgent repair at the Corriedale Wind Site in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The damaged blade struck the nacelle mid-rotation, requiring an up-tower blade replacement, rotor drop, and nacelle shell replacement. Harsh winter conditions added to the challenge, but the crew completed the project safely and successfully within a month—restoring the turbine to full operation and reinforcing our commitment to reliability, even in the face of extreme conditions.
